Lakme Fashion Week 2013 Day 4: Ram Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Malaika Arora Khan and Juhi Chawla walk the ramp with villagers

Glitzy designer Vikram Phadnis came up with an unique idea to bridge the gap between rural and urban India. He had villagers walk the ramp with Bollywood stars

Lakme Fashion Week 2013 has probably never seen more stars walking the ramp, and never have the stars looked so proud – all thanks to Vikram Phadnis and his unique idea of partnering with an NGO and including villagers to be a part of his glamorous fashion show.

On day 4 of the fashion week, Vikram Phadnis partnered with The Swades Foundation, and had its members walk the ramp along with B-town celebrities. The outfits were heavily inspired by rural India and Phadnis had the hall decorated with lanterns, as the celebs walked the ramp to the theme song from the movie Swades.

Filmmakers, choreographers, television actors as well as movie stars were a part of the show and they walked hand-in-hand with their compatriots from rural India. Those who were a part of this glitzy yet grounded fashion show were Ayushmann Khurrana, the Kai Po Che gang including Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Raj Kumar Yadav, lleana D’Cruz, Dia Mirza, Neha Dhupia, Ekta Kapoor and dad Jeetendra, Malaika Arora Khan and husband Arbaaz Khan along with their son, Rahul Bose, Kiran Rao, Chetan Bhagat, Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar, Juhi Chawla and producer Ronnie Screwvala.

In Focus: Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan wrap up Gori Tere Pyaar Mein shoot

Imran Khan shared a picture on Facebook from the sets of his film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein last evening. He said, “New Photo: “Big shoot tonight… Last day in Bangalore!!!” (via – @punitdmalhotra)” The pic shows a rather happy Kareena Kapoor Khan along with Imran and director Punit Malhotra. We like the way the trio is dressed in similar clothes and bonding on the sets!

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani new still: Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone celebrate Holi in the song Balam pichkari

Just a day before the colourful festival, the makers of this most-awaited movie release a ‘fun’ still. Take a look

Last seen, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were bathed in gulaal in the poster of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Well, if you like that, you will love this drenched display of masti and wet colours in the latest still from their song Balam pichkari.

Peeking out from the stills is Ranbir who is having ample fun playing the dholak. And matching steps with the beats of the drum is Deepika, who is having the time of her life. Ah, what a happy image! Just what this season needs.

Cherry on top is the fact that Ranbir dragged everyone around into the pool after this song was shot for. Whoa! All this took place at Film City in Goregaon, Mumbai. Clearly, everyone on the sets of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is basking in the pre-Holi celebrations.

You take a look at this still and tell us: Does this picture inspire you to play Holi?

Zanjeer, and its Telugu version, Toofan trailers barred from being released by Bombay High Court

Zanjeer promotions hit hard as Bombay High Court bars both the Hindi and Telugu versions from being released

Apoorva Lakhia, Priyanka Chopra and Ram Charan Teja may have never even thought in their worst nightmares that so many things could go wrong with their upcoming film, Zanjeer in such a short while. After one of the leading stars of the film, Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to imprisonment by the Supreme Court, the Bombay High Court has delivered a shocker.

The Court has forbidden the makers from releasing the trailers of the movie – titled Zanjeer in Hindi and Toofan in Telugu. At the heart of the matter is a dispute among the sons of the late producer Prakash Mehra who made the original 1973 film. The three sons, Amit Mehra, Puneet Mehra and Sumeet Mehra have been fighting amongst themselves over the remaking rights of the new film. Apparently, Puneet and Sumeet had sold the remaking rights to their brother Amit who has been defaulting on payments to his brothers, and the amount runs into crores. Sumeet and Puneet have approached the Bombay High Court which has asked the makers not to release the trailers of both the Hindi and the Telugu version of the film.

Now the makers will face a tough time promoting the big budget flick considering that trailers are one of the main promotional vehicles of movies! A big ticket event that was held yesterday in Hyderabad, which saw the presence of the film’s heavyweights Priyanka, Ram Charan Teja and Apoorva, also turned to be a flop considering the team didn’t have permission to showcase the trailers.

Well, we hope that the issue is sorted out amicably, without any further mess.

Go Goa Gone trailer: Saif Ali Khan’s zombie-hunting expeditions look like a laugh riot

The latest import from pardes seems to be the zombies. So how will B-town deal with it?

The party capital of our country, Goa is infested with the walking deads. Does this thought scare you? In case it does, take a look at the trailer. Your fears might vanish. Really. From the trailer of Go Goa Gone, it seems like the audience is in for a good laughter ride.

With Kunal Khemu getting distracted by a zombie lady’s boobs and Saif Ali Khan posing as a fake Russian hunter when he in reality is someone from New Delhi, wethinks Illuminati Films might have a winner when it comes to giggles. And there’s also a possibility that the zombie jokes could get a tad repetitive. Sigh.

Will Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwary’s journey into the zombie-land – we still can’t believe it’s Goa! – keep us hooked? Take a look at this trailer and tell us.

The movie is produced by Illuminati Films and is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
